Last chance to code with DC Super Heroes at Code Camp!

For the last time these school holidays your child can design, code and create their very own DC Super Hero game in our Spark and Ignite camps. They can choose from DC favourites BATMAN, WONDER WOMAN and SUPERMAN, and design their own adventure app using character themed backgrounds and collectibles, and then bring their game to life via drag and drop code or JavaScript. Hurry and get in before they leave Code Camp!

FAQs

What is the structure of a day at camp?

Each day is divided into 1.5 - 2 hour sessions of fun, creative learning with three breaks for crunch & sip, recess and lunch so the kids can have outside play (weather allowing).

What time is drop off and pick-up time?

Drop-off is from 9:00-9:30 am and pick-up is 3:30-4:00 pm. At selected venues we offer extend hours from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm - this availability will be visible at the booking page.

Does my child need to bring a device?

Students are welcome to bring their own laptop from home, but if that's not possible you will be able to hire one from Code Camp for a fee.

What should I pack in my child's bag each day?

We recommend bringing a hat, water bottle, sunscreen and a nut-free packed crunch and sip, recess, and lunch.

How many kids are in each class?

We have some of the best student-teacher ratios to ensure every child has a positive experience. Most of our classes are capped at 28 students with a 1:8 teacher-student ratio.

Do they have to have prior experience?

Spark, DJ Camp, Animation Camp, Minions Animation Camp, Drone Camp and YouTube Creators are suitable for absolute beginners. Ignite requires a basic understanding of drag & drop coding, while kids attending Blast 3D and Web Builders need to be proficient at line coding.

Can I stay with my child?

Our camps are well staffed and we do not have parents stay for the day. If there is a particular reason that you’d like to attend, please get in contact with us to discuss.

Do you cater for special needs?

Whilst we do not run programs specifically designed to cater for students with special needs, our aim is to be as inclusive as possible. If your child attends a mainstream school and is comfortable in a classroom environment, they are welcome to attend. We will ask about their needs at enrolment. We are unable to provide 1:1 support, however if your child has a support worker they may attend with them. Please contact us to discuss your child’s individual needs.

My child is younger than the specified age, can they attend? Can my younger child attend with an older sibling?

If a child is with 12 months of the recommended age it is up to the parent to determine if the child is capable. Our camps are structured for the specified age range and with 1:8 ratios, so one on one support for a younger child will not be available. Unless the child is displaying maturity levels and academic capabilities of an older child, we don’t recommend it.

Do you offer a sibling discount?

When you enrol your child, you will receive a referral code which can be used to save $20 off your sibling booking.
