Code Camp for Victorian Maths Teachers
The Stage 2 CodeCamp for Maths Teachers (Victorian Maths Curriculum) is a professional learning workshop suited to maths teachers of the new Victorian Maths Curriculum, and assumes foundational understanding of the principles of coding-based maths lessons, as detailed in the course delivery of Stage 1 Code Camp for Maths Teachers (Victorian Curriculum).
The Stage 2 Code Camp for Maths Teachers workshop will provide specific links to the Victorian Maths Curriculum Levels 7-10, and forms a natural extension to the coding-based maths units in the Victorian Maths Curriculum (Foundation to Year 6).
You will learn to further develop coding-based maths lessons to extend your student’s development in computational and logic thinking, with a strong cross-curricular integration with Digital Technologies through its applications. This is a hands-on workshop where you will use the premise of game development to model and teach the applications of algorithms to solve real-life problems.
The workshop takes the format of 'Train the Trainer' so you will be supported with detailed instructions to return to school, to immediately support your team of teachers in the effective teaching of coding-based maths lessons.
This workshop is not suitable for teachers at the beginning of their coding journey (refer to Stage 1). To truly understand and develop meaningful understanding of coding-based maths lessons, it is recommended that teachers attend the Stage 1 course.
Coding within The Victorian Maths Curriculum is not just about coding, but explicitly and strategically inspire students in their development of creativity, problem solving, computational and logic thinking skills. This workshop will explicitly model and guide you through the process.

This professional learning workshop is suited to maths teachers of the new Victorian Maths Curriculum, and assumes minimum background/experience in coding. It is a unique workshop specifically designed to support teachers at the very beginning of their learn to code journey, providing teachers with an effective foundation that can lead to more advanced coding skills.
You will learn to develop mathematical-based coding lessons to teach students. Coding within The Victorian Maths Curriculum is not just about coding, but explicitly and strategically inspire students to develop computational and logic thinking skills.
Train your Teachers
This workshop will also assist you in developing the appropriate training skills, and confidence to teach your teachers mathematical-based coding. Guided with relevant teaching support materials, you will be able to upskill your teachers in this area.
Join us for a day of fun and engaging workshop delivering real teachable outcomes. Our trainers will provide you with lesson plans to embed coding within your Maths (and Digital Technologies) lessons, show you how to model the teaching of these units to your students, and provide you with real methods to inspire your students’ problem solving, creativity, computational and logical thinking skills, through learning to code.
